Background
Cameron Rosa was born in a middle class family of Providence in 2341, to parents Laurie and Nicholas Rosa. Laurie Rosa
was a Professor at Brown University teaching English and Mathematics, while Nicholas performed as a first chair concert violist
in the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra. The two parents were an enthusiastic team of loving and encouraging people to
their children. The first child to be born in 2335 was Connor Rosa the eldest boy then followed John in 2339. Cameron was
the younger of her two brothers and always had a sense of protection around her. The family was very close to one another
and spent every summer traveling the world together.
When Cameron entered Providence High School, she was an excellent student and was popular with her peers. In her senior
year she had been voted Prom Queen and won. She graduated 3rd of her class with honors of 400 students. The summer of her
high school graduation would bring catastrophe misery to the Rosa family. Camerons father Nicholas a popular-violist was
gunned down by an obsessed fan outside the concert hall. As the police investigated the murder they found some damaging evidence
that would shock the family. The person who had gunned down her father was a woman name Betty Williams, who was a fan of
his but also, his lover. As the investigation progressed they learned he had the affair with her for a few weeks before ending
it. He had told his wife about it and she had forgiven him and they were working on redeeming the marriage.
When, Betty learned that he would never leave his family or wife she became enraged with anger. She waited outside on
a warm-breezy summer night at the concert hall holding the gun behind her. As Nicholas Rosa left the auditorium towards his
car, she shot him four times in the head, stomach and shoulder. The murder of her father had left the family with an anxious
feeling of the future. Cameron found it hard to deal with her father’s death and even harder to deal with his affair.
The media attention fueled an appetite around the case that disgusted her and the family. It took a year after his murder
for Betty Williams to be convicted and sentenced to life in prison. The family breathed a sense of relief, it was over they
could move on with their lives.
Cameron found Starfleet Academy to be delicious exciting and pushed her in ways that were thrilling. In her freshman
year at the Academy she met an outgoing, lively, and smart girl named Natasha McKay. Natasha and Cameron shared a dorm room
together and became fast friends. As they got to know one another, Natasha introduced Cameron to her twin brother Andrew.
A deep friendship formed between Andrew and Cameron and an attraction to one another was obvious. However, at the time both
were involved with other people and in relationships. The three friends would often write one another and kept in contact
as the years past.
Cameron graduated the Academy ranked 5th in her class. Her first assigment was on the U.S.S Papilla as the Brig Officer.
Cameron Rosa found being on a ship to be the most rewarding time in her adult life. While serving on the ship she met a man
whom she became romantically involved. He was the Executive Officer of the ship named Maxwell ,Max, Hornet an attractive,
wealthy, and powerful son of the President Board of Federation Starfleet. The relationship lasted for six months when Cameron
ended in bluntly. She couldnt handle his temper and when he would drink he would become abusive. Six months passed and Cameron
requested she be assigned to a new post and Captain Lawrence signed off on her request. Although, she feared Max would try
and stop her Cameron never imagined he would do something to seriously harm her.
Her last day approached for her when she would leave the U.S.S Papilla. She had celebrated a going-away party and Max
seemed to treat her with kind words and wish her the best.
Cameron walked the long corridor back to the quarters when she felt a slight dizzy spell and almost fell, but Max helped
her up. She has consumed a great deal of alcohol beverages and knew she was intoxicated. Max began to come on to her strong
and she didn't like it. He wouldn’t stop kissing her and feeling her up and down. For a moment, she thought he
got the idea and would leave her room. Instead he began to slap her around and before the night was over he had beaten and
violently raped her. An hour had passed while Cameron lay on the bed in shock at what had happened to her. Max had stayed
in the room lying beside her as if they had made love that night. He had his arms around her as he sleeps while Cameron weep
silently. Max left in the morning and said one chilling statement You know what I can do to you if you tell anyone. I will
kill you. No one will believe you, you were drunk Cameron and you know you wanted it to happen. A year passes after the rape
when she stops grieving and vows to get her strength back. However, she still has kept the secret about the rape and has
only allowed the psychologist to know. Cameron enters Fort Jackson Marine Base and excels and builds her confidence up.
While in training at the base she receives a letter from an old friend, Andrew McKay. They begin to write to one another on
a daily basis and start a romantic courtship. Their love for one another burns and after Cameron graduates from the Marine
base, Andrew asks for her hand in marriage. The summer wedding in 2370, featured Natasha as the Matron of Honor for the
bride, Connor Dutch as the best man. The weeding was glorious, but Cameron felt a deep internal sadness that her father would
not be waking her down the isle.
Cameron glowed as the happy couple learned within a year of marriage they were welcoming a baby girl to the household.
The baby is named Natasha after Andrew sister and close friend to Cameron. Natasha Anne McKay was born on Step, 20th, 2371.
Four years pass and the Mckay family find themselves on the USS Montogomery Scott
