Background
Born in the East End of London in 2340, Andrew McKay or Maccy as known by his close friends was the second child of Three
to Phillip and Laura McKay. Andrews elder sister Natasha was born exactly two minutes before her twin brother and so as such
insisted that she was the eldest although most of the time as he never acted like it. His younger brother Daniel was the black
sheep of the three. While Natasha and Andrew were set on joining Starfleet, Daniels dream was to be a marine biologist.
Natasha and Andrew both entered the academy in the same class and both in engineering and the contest between sister and
brother grew to there class grades, one constantly pushing each other to better each other. This lead to Andrew getting first
in his class and Natasha second. A defeat she never got over. While at the academy Andrew Became an expert shuttle and fighter
pilot, taking the advanced flying and combat course. While there Natasha shared a dorm with a student Called Cameron Rosa.
Andrew and Cameron became very close but were unable to get together.
The three graduated together and Andrew assigned to Starbase 256 as an engineer and occasional shuttle pilot. It was
on one of these jobs as that he was noticed by the stations commanding officer Admiral Gregory Jackson. He was doing routine
work in an empty shuttle bay and had instructed the computer to play music and found by the admiral dancing around and singing
to the songs while working on the shuttle. The admiral found this extremely strange until the young ensign explained. From
that day Andrew and Jackson had remained close. It wasn’t till later that Jackson discovered exactly what Andrew
Could do. When the USS Galaxy, which was docked at the base at the time, had a plasma explosion in engineering which killed
eight members of the crew including the Assistant and Chief engineer. Andrew beamed into the area and managed to repair the
plasma conduit before the fire hit the warp core. He spent three weeks in the Starbase medical facility were he was treated
for plasma burns to forty percent of his body. He still carries the scares. He was given the Starfleet Command Decoration
for Valour and Gallantry for his actions on the day and was promoted to assistant chief engineer aboard the Galaxy at the
rank of lieutenant Junior grade. The youngest person in Starfleet history to do so.
While aboard the Galaxy Andrew had time to catch up with family and learnt that Cameron had left Starfleet. Confused
as to why he wrote to her but got no answers.
Onboard Andrew Met and Became good friends with one Connor Dutch. Andrew found Connors still and sense of humour similar
to his own and the pair became notorious not only as a unbeatable team but as the ships jokers.
Andrew later transferred to the Concorde class development class project under the command of an old friend Admiral Gregory
Jackson. While there Andrew took the opportunity to visit fort Jackson to see Cameron. Six months down the line He asked
her to marry him. The wedding was held at Camerons home of Providence. His sister Natasha played the maid of honour while
Andrewss old friend Connor Dutch was the best man. Admiral Jackson performed the ceremony.
Not long after Cameron gave Birth to Natasha Anne. Andrew and Camerons first child. To Which Connor became her godfather.
Four Years later the McKay family have been assigned to the Montgomery Scott.
